Sell your ES privately, try to find a loan take over. If all fails go to dealership and hope you don't get ripped off that bad.

Thanks for all the support.

Yea, I'm starting to think I'm better off selling it privately like you say and buying a used one from the Dealer. Possibly from california as they have real good prices going on on used EVO's.

A new evo 9 is 45,000 I was told. Only 2 left in the U.S is what the south coast dealer told me.

At that price they will have those 2 EVO 9 MR's forever! Insane! Maybe MRSP, but a 10 grand mark up

Go to cars.com or engine of your choice do some research on price, mileage, options, color. Then try to find the best combo for the price. I bought mine a month ago from michigan, I live in alabama. It was an untitled 08 gsr aero kit sss nav for about 10 grand less than a new x and still has a factory warrenty and got it shiped/flatbedded for 600 bucks.

Never seem to interested at a dealership or on the phone with the dealer. Always be willing to walk away/hang up the phone. I got an extra 1500 off the car just for waiting a couple of days.

Another thing to keep in mind is what kind of intrest rate you'll get. If you're paying cash you're all set but if you have finance it chances are you'll end up with the same monthly payments new vs used. Call up south coast get a quote for the car shipped and use that as leverage at your local dealer.

Sounds like South Coast adds some nice extras, almost enough to make me comfortable shipping a car a few thousand miles to save a few hundred. There were a few posts about guys getting the cars without floor mats and things like that. Not a huge deal, but annoying to deal with from the other side of the country.

My mitsu dealer really wanted to sell me my evo. I ended up getting $200 less than private party sale for my s2000 on the trade. Not to mention in MD you don't pay sales tax on the trade in amount. That saved me a good amount and I could transfer tags which saved me another $120.
