Help on purchasing an EVO from Dealership
I might be buying an EVO from the dealer by the end of this month.
For some reason there is many deals on all 2010 models at the dealership near me untill June 1st.
Not sure if the 2011 models are coming out or whats going on.
I want to trade my 2008 Lancer ES (33,000 miles) but I've never gone through a trade in before.
Would asking for MSRP or Invoice on a Base EVO be pushing it?
Any other tips would be appreciated.

There is no reason why you can't ask for the best deal, they're not going to kick you out of the dealership. I havn't seen any news of a 2011 model coming out so it might just be a inventory push.
They will give you crap for a trade in, your best bet is to sell it privately.
If they don't give you any good deals you should contact Tony at South Coast Mistsubishi in Costa Mesa, CA. They are hands down the #1 evo dealer in the US, their back lot has well over 100 evos in all colors and options. They even have a couple IX's brand new. Since they push so many evo's they get kick backs from mitsu which lets them hook buyers up. I got my base GSR well bellow invoice, I'd check how much it would be to ship it and consider buying from them. There are other members on this site who have bought from them and had it shipped.

Thanks a lot zerocooll21, just once last thing.
I need to call to get prices, is there any need to negotiate? Or can I be sure they will give me there best price right away?

No you wont have to negotiate, they will give one price and that will be it. They sold the WW SSS on me the day before so I went with the base GSR and had them hook me up with UR DP, UR CBE, and AEM intake. I got a discount on all parts and had them installed for free.

Yeah Southcoast is definately a legit dealership with great prices on the evos... I kinda got shafted on my trade in a bit, but its a dealership and i wasnt expecting to get much on my trade anyway.
when i bought my X since they couldnt give me more on my trade in they gave me a set of mudflaps and a turbo timer as a little something something.
good luck!

First try and use the southcoast price as leverage at dealers near you even pay 1000-1500 more its still a good deal.
1. Sam Smash is very hit or miss
2. getting the car down to FL will be 1000 anyway
3. South Coast has a very Dikky policy on Sales Tax.

^ usually you just have to pay another destination fee (whatever mitsu charges) and the "dikky" policy on sales tax would probably be whatever CA state salestax laws are. CA has pretty much its own governance on tax law that no other state follows. and the industry's taxation is highly regulated which gives me doubt their "dikky" practices are by personal choice.
