I know the dealer can plug the car in and see the command to shut it off but for some reason they couldn't shut it off. I saw a couple people post this trying to do the same thing. Maybe the dealer they went to just didn't know what to do..

I've heard that the dealer can find the command to change the car from non-SSS to SSS but cannot change it since it's locked for some reason.

Well I got my car back, they could not change it. We need some one to be able to hack that system or jailbreak it. I am disappointed but just move on until someone hacks it. Sorry guys for the disappointment.

I figured as much. Pretty stupid that they an see the command yet do nothing about it.

Yup. I took my car in and they hooked it up to the computer. They can get all the way to the setting to turn off DRL's, but it locks them out from doing so.

They should not put it in there if it can not be changed. I just hope there is a person that is able to break through the coding. Well there is hoping.

You think you have a set for the mr headlights? If so that would be great.

I don't mind having the DRL's in fact there's a recent thread where a member put LED's into his daytime running lights and they looked great. My issue is with the flickering, if someone could come up with a harness or fix for the flicker then that'd be sweet.

The dealer being able to find the DRL command and not being able to change it is pretty weak but I'm sure they'd love to sell you a new ETACS!

I found a DRL module that will work to get the DRLS on the right bulb and I just need a way to disable the stock DRLs. I want to keep the DRLS working, it is the flicker that is bugging me. I do not want to leave the headlight always on.

If your MR is Non-HID then yes...if you have a factory HID system all you have to do to disable the DRL's is pull the "DRL" fuse in the fuse box. Wish it was this easy for us non HID guys but this is why I came out with this rather low cost solution.

EDIT: Just realized your swapping MR headlights into your GSR. Unfortunately, my bypass will only be able to bypass GSR (9006) head lamps. Sorry for the confusion.
