SSS rubber lip falling off

Hey my rubber lip is falling off. Would I need to take it back to Mitsubishi to get that fixed or is there a way I can put it back up? I looked at it quick and there's holes along the lip, does that mean I could just put some plugs/clips in there to keep it up or what? I just want to get this done quick cuz it looks like *** hanging off.

Thanks for any help in advance

Its held up with plastic tabs and metal clips. Did they fall out? If Mitsu will fix it for free and you have time, take it to them. If not, you can just replace the tabs/clips with something else.

Had the same problem. Dealer was clueless and couldn't find the part number for the clips. Ended up taking it off all together and throwing it away. Which I regret because they're places the sells the clips.

Check Mitsubishiparts.net. They have the parts to fix it if you don't want to take to the dealer.

I had the same problem, it is also held up by double sided tape not only the clips. I used plastic epoxy and it held for a while before being ripped off again. I just took the rubber piece off, the screws that you talk about that you can see, I just took some black spray paint to them.

Take it off. I put it back together with some double sided tabe and extra clips and it got scraped out 2 months later. Fixed it again and it ripped out in 2 more month. I said "f uck it" and took it off, never looked back.

Me too. It's even worse if you lower the car. A repair kit with a full set of clips is pretty cheap. They also have a kit that includes a new rubber piece but it's like $130.

Go to a hardware store and look for some clips.

My started falling off so I toke it off. Than the wife hit a semi truck tire while driving one night. When I got the bumper fixed, the body shop put a new rubber strip on. And once again, it started to fall off so I toke that one off too.

If anyone needs one, let me know I have 2 of them and and I most of the clips that go with them.

Get a few short self tapping screws (about half inch long) and screw them in the areas that you need to. That's what I did, and my lip is holding up great! Made it through last winter and my car is dropped. Good luck
