How much stuff can you haul or not haul in your Evo X?

I know this topic has been covered a little bit but I haven't found too many threads on it so I gotta ask...

Everyone says the trunk is tiny, ok so we've got that..

So is it so tiny that any hope of having this car would kill all aspects of family practicality?

I really like the Evo X and have considered it to be my next car, however I am at a point where I need to make sure i've got sufficient cargo space for a few scenarios..

1. For my job, I need to be able to haul around computers, monitors, printers and other computer equipment between off site locations. While this seems possible in the Evo X, I would likely need to fill the trunk and most of the back seat to do so..'

2. My GF has a 5 year old daughter and i'd rather not have to take her Hyundai Sante Fe when go and do fun things or go on trips and such. From what i've read and the pictures i've seen of the Evo X trunk, looks like this is a total no go.

A lot of you may say that's its crazy to pass up a car like the Evo X due to the space/lack of ability to haul stuff, etc.. but the fact of the matter is I really need that practicality, and is the only reason I haven't gone out and picked up a c5 z06 vette which is what I would truly love to have.

Unfortunately the 08+ STi hatch doesn't seem to quite measure up to the Evo X in terms of all around performance, and other all season, practical options are slim (Speed 3, but FWD, and its mazda, etc.)

I had similar thoughts as you when i was deciding between a sti ( more cargo space ) or an Evo ( which can barely fit a stroller ). In the end, i ended up buying an Evo because i know deep down inside it's really what i wanted. As far as space go, i never have any problems yet... Matter of fact, i just donated a huge printer, alot of books and a full size chair to Value Village all fitted in my Evo today.

ive said it before and ill say it again. volvo s60 r. orrrrrr audi s4. lotsa performance, awd. not as fun as the evo but still fast cars plus luxury and practicality.

also i have a quick question...im already used to driving small cars with no storage space, however my car now can at least hold a snowboard in the trunk due to collapsible rear seats. without this feature in the evo x would i be able to fit a snowboard in the trunk? thats all i really care about hauling around :-)

Evo x = no folding seats. Battery and fluids are stored behind passenger seats. Which means no room so get a sick snoboard rack!

i should've take a picture but it's really not 'that' bad if you are willing to use your back seat at times.

In the trunk:

1 guitar

1 bag of golfclubs, if you're creative

2 Volks with no tires on them

7 bags of groceries

1 petite XXS dead hooker

(pick only one of the above at a time)

I was able to squeeze my Craftsman toolbox, 2 ramps, a cooler, a bag of spare clothes, 3 quarts of tranny fluid, and a big funnel with hose attached into my trunk this past weekend. It all fit, but barely.

Wondering that as well. I'm trying to figure out how I'm going to cram in a set of wheels and a set of tires (loose, unmounted) without making two trips. Two wheels in the trunk would go a long way.

18x9.5. If the wheels are all new and clean, it's really not too hard. Lay a few towels down to prevent sliding and they should fit! Depending on how **** you are, you can put two in the back seat, or be like me and make two trips.
