Why is the 2010 faster than the 08?

Saw an article in the feb motortrend and the 2010 mr with all the bells and whistles ran 4.9 0-60 they said it had something to do with tweeking the sst a little

simple...the 08 tune is complete GARBAGE and the 2010 tunes are much better

would it make any difference if a 2010 gets all the bolt-on and does not tune ? like will it be dangerous as it's running leaner than the stock 2008 tune

Yes, during spool you could go dangerously lean.

I've been seeing approx 30-40whp more 100% bone stock 2010's compared to 2008, baseline pulls, no tune.

2008 GSR baselines around 220-230 whp (depending on factory ROM ID)

2010 GSR baselines around 250-270 whp

Dangit, I have injen CAI/UICP along with tsudo v2 turboback exhaust I just installed sat night. Wonder how lean I am running now. Anyone log A/F's with intake and turbo back on a 2010? I haven't received a CEL, but I don't want to screw up my engine at all.
