Long-term impressions of your Evo X?

For anyone who's driven an Evo X for a few years: what do you think of the car so far? Does it break a lot? Are you satisfied with the performance? Etc...

I'm in the market for an X, but I wanna hear from some current owners before I buy.

Thanks!

I've owned my X for a little over 1 year now. I love the thing. It could use some weight loss and some more power from the factory, but the aftermarket department was fast in coming out with bigger and better things for it. Only things I've ever had break on mine was the clutch went fast, and haters keying and smashing my window.

Pretty happy with mine as well. +1 on a little weight loss and more hp from factory. Be nice to get rid of some of those rattles too. Other than that I plan on keeping it for a long time.

My clutch went a little after 3k. After I went full bolt on, it burned up right after it. I was only putting down, 320 whp and 323 lbs of torque

I love mine! I get so many compliments and people trying to race me.(not sure that is a good thing)

I do have a warning for you. Once you get the mod bug, you will become obsessed with more power.

Ive owned my evo X for 2 years and have put over 30,000 miles on it. I recently purchased a DD but whenever I drive my evo, it just puts a smile on my face.

Those are what I upgraded the clutch to. Once I put in my next set of parts, I'll end up burning through that clutch and have to upgrade again.

Don't get too scared off by one person burning up their clutch. There is a thread on this forum that asked how many people were still on the stock clutch. The overwhelming response was yes with no issues.

The clutch will go faster if you put down more power, but how you use it is a much more significant factor.

And I'm happy with my X. I still love the way it looks every time I walk up to it. I don't daily drive mine, so I'm always happy to get in and feel the handling and power over my other car.

Yeah don't listen to my bad experience. For all I know I did it to myself which could very well be the case. It's still a great car

I have had my car for two years and a month, I love her and would never give her up. +1 on the weight loss and more stock power. +1 on the rattle. Other then that, I love my beast!
