Question Is there a way to get E85 in your area?

I live about 30min from the closes E85 station. Since I'm in CA and 91 pisstane just doesn't do it, is there a way i could build a profitable proposition to a gas station to put in E85?

Wow. 30 mints - 2 hours to get gas? That's crazy.

There's an E85 pump a block or so away from me, and I'm still afraid to use it in case I go on a trip.

You can do a Tephra Map switch so you can just go to 9X octane when you travel.

Pump gas is just too easy...glad I have 93-octane here, plus my alt maps setup for 91-octane when I take trips.

If you really want to get E85 in your area just start bugging all the station managers/owners and hopefully one of them will eventually take the needed steps.

Well Since Ive been E85 crazy this afternoon, I found an article that this year they are installing 3 new E85 stations in Northern Ca, one of them being on the other side of town. Yay, I might have E85 by Christmas, or early next year.

I talked to Buschur about it once, and he was less than enthusiastic about using map switching for tunes for two different fuels, due to some fuel being left in the tank when you swap. I'd rather not blow something up, and we have 93 and 94 here, so it's not as bad as it could be.

No there is almost no way to get e 85 in your area i actually contacted Shell and they told me that it is the individual gas stations choice whether they want to carry e 85 or not but the gas stations who do get grants from the government. Come live in Chicago we have tons of e 85 stations.

He did it for my car without hesitation, did a 93 map and an E85 map.
