Help: Oil leak on evo x

i did oil change 2 month ago and i noticed there is oil leak rite on top of oil pan

but not alot. it looks like it's coming from turbo oil return pipe cuz i remember

when i had my U/R o2 down pipe installed and i tried to removed the turbo to

get more room to work on down pipe and i think i bent oil return pipe. i don't

think it's seriously bent, but i think the gasket on oil return pipe is bad. i wish i

could taken a picture but i couldn't get my camera in and i could even see

where exactly it was coming from. it's just damn hard to see and no fuxxing

room to put my hands in. so this is just my thought

so my question is how hard to replace the oil return pipe gasket and o-

ring?

i know the parts are really cheap, but the labor would be hella

expensive. i'm just trying to work on myself.

i wish i own a evo 8 or 9, just becuz too damn hard to work on evo x.

i found oil leak on my car also but it is stock...
but maybe i can ask my question here since u're on a similar topic...

I noticed some oil at the back of the engine and oil pan from my last oil change cleaned it thinking maybe someone over filled...
and today did another oil change and there's still oil at the back of the oil pan seems like it's dripping from behind the engine.. can't tell where it's coming from

anyone had this problem on their X?

There was a TSB about the timing chain cover leaking. (I think) Do some searching on here and you should be able to pull the info up.

If its the oil return line for the turbo. you will need to take of exhaust manifold and the downpipe to make it easier. but if you have a decent set of tools and a little bit of know how you can do it by yourself. My oil return line break on me and I fixed it myself. It toke me about six hours total time. It would be quicker if you had someone to help you.

It's not the oil return line, I had the same leak. It was the timing cover that took the dealership 3 times to fix.

i'm not doing a forum-expert diagnosis but thought this thread would be helpful.
