not sure where the rod goes either. I installed mine myself and adjusted it to where I wanted it before I attached the ball joint. What about a picture of the hole that rod came out of?

 

problem taken care of. Thanks a lot to Kris at SSP. He saw my post and contacted me. That little rod in the picture has nothing to do with the MC. Just need to put the threaded piece back in and connect the c clip. Thanks again to Kris!

 

I was thinking that but that rod was throwing me off.
