Usually when me and my friend go out he always wants to ride in my car, i say sure np. As were heading back to his house i look in my mirror and i see the car passing others to get behind me. From the lights i could tell it was a wrx all blue tint with gold rims i think like an 06. But anyway as soon as i turn on to the high way i look over he speeds up next to me and him and his friends ask "wanna race". i look in the car i see 5 guages and i could hear the blow off valve, i laugh a slow down as we get to the light. And right before the light turns green i hear him reving like crazy and he takes off. Now before any of you say anything no i didn't race him, i just think its funny how civics, acuras, subys, and mustangs all hear my exhaust or see my car and automatically think that i will race them.

 

haha I usually get few dumbnuts try to race me. As I was heading home today I got 3 cars do a flyby trying to get my attention obviously I didn't do anything, but the worst part is when kids drive their ricermobiles like maniacs in traffic. People think just bec. we drive an evo we will race every fast car we see. If anyone has any tips on how to stop these idiots trying to race you it would be much appreciated!

 

Well the only thing that I found that work is my little $100 per race sign or just driving atleast 5 under the speed limit. Most people don't have $100 to lose and if your going slower that the speed limit the seem to think that is some old guy.
Option 2 usually works better.

 

Suprisingly I've gotten this from Evo X's a lot lately.

 

maybe a sticker that says "NO, I DO NOT WANT TO RACE YOU!!!"

I get this a lot too. Even when I still have my stock exhaust.

I've gotten it alot from 135's and 335's lately tho.

it seems the X owners that i don't know have this air of awesomeness about them and just think they're badasses. the best is when a very stock appearing one tries to run me.....i'm pretty sure i making quite a bit over stock so what's the point?

 

couple weeks ago while coming home from work, some highschool student was driving his mom's van and he rear ended the car in front of him while staring at my car. i heard a loud crash and looked in my mirror and sure enough he did hit the car. i usually pass up a lot of hs kids and they always stare at my car. this is usually in the morning going home. i work third shift so i see them going to school. thought it was kind of funny but dangerous.

probly 50% of the people that have read this thread are the people that try and race.

when i drive my subi, almost every evo i pass/pass me wants 2 race.

 

Very rarely do I get people wanting to race. It almost makes me sad. Do I not look competitive? Is my car unimpressive? Why does no one want to play with me?!?!

 

...you sound like the girl who didn't get asked to prom haha. on a side note, get a huge back windsheild decal "I DO NOT RACE" hell it might get cops off your back too.

 

To be fair I got this a lot from CT9A's when I got my Evo too. I can't tell if it's someone trying to have some fun with a fellow Evo or if they're out to prove something.
