Stage 1 cobb ap
Stage 1 cobb ap
Just hit 1k miles on my new evo. Did oil change (still looked new) and installed cobb AP. I did 1 run before updating map and best 0-60 I hit on my MR was 5.68. After AP did one run and was able to do 4.98.
Car does feel like it should have stock. Torq doen't feel like it just dies after 5k rpm.
I am still not hitting 23 psi. Shouldn't I be seeing higher boost levels?

I did the same. I've now have 2700 miles, 1700 since flashing to stage I v1.07 and right away I was hitting 22-23 and breifly 24 right at about 5k. I've been seeing mostly 22 with north Alabama heat and unseasonable humidity (reminds me of when I lived in Houston).
I'm already eager for Stage II, as the Stage I feels "normal" to me know and seems to die pretty quickly after 5500 rpm. So I'm shopping 02 dp, testpipe, cbe, intakes and uicp.

Seems like we are all in the same boat.
I did Stage 1 at 400 miles, just to help get the fuel economy up.
Just got a Invidia down pipe/test pipe along with a HKS Drop in filter from RallySportDirect.com. Flashed Stage 2 and what a difference. Even with a stock cat back in place its a huge gain in performance. Pulls allot harder up top, along with much better mid range TQ.
The stock cat back is a little restrictive (10-15HP at Stage 2 level). But its not enough to not being able to run a Stg2 map.
So if you guys are looking to go stg2 with out doing the full entire TBE, and still keep the car quiet. This was a good option.
