Buying an Evo X
Buying an Evo X
I'm looking into buying a new Evo X, i was wondering at the dealers, would they take money off the price if i ask for them about the TPMS sensors to be taken off, no spoiler, and no fog lights on the car?
to my knowledge...
tpms units are mandatory safety equipment for all 2008+ vehicles
I don't think they could legally be removed
regardless removing anything from the car is just more labor spent on the car...no chance you'll save a dime

Yeah that sucks then, i was going to do it at work, im just to damn lazy and plus i dont want scratch the new rims b/c our tire machine sucks ***. Another question, how long does it take for them to ship the car to your nearest dealership?

If youre that concerned about such a little amount of money you should not probably be buying a X.
Dude, you gotta use your brain man... buy the car and then take it off the car and sell it.

I don't think it's an unreasonable question, but since they would actually have to do work on the car to remove the parts (and sell the used parts), I highly doubt a dealer would consider this.
However, it may be a good idea to make the REMOVAL of the parts you don't want a part of the deal. Then you can go sell them and they may do the labor for free if they want to move the unit.

calm down flamers...it's like buying a GSR over an MR because of costs. he's just looking to shave costs, albeit in a very nitpicking and annoying kind of way. the simple answer is "no," no dealer with the right mind would do that for you for free. on the flip side, you can sell them for some greenbacks. the TPMS however is not a simple bolt-on affair. just keep them on the car. the costs involved with removing them over selling them is not worth it.
