So I picked up the new T1R short antenna last week and I have to say, I am pretty happy with the purchase!

I don't use the radio too too often, but reception is still great. The short antenna really beats the OEM one which is way too long with the Navi lol. I paid about $26 CAD for this piece before tax.

Whats your take on this guys?

I can finally make good use for my OEM antenna now lol, use it as a pointer hahah.

lol, definately does... but the RC car look is kinda cool, at first I was always worried that the OEM antenna would break cause it looked to flimsy haha.

 

i have the Perrin shorty, love it!

It looks good definitely better than the stocker. I had the Perrin shorty on mine but the reception was so bad I removed it and put the 2010 stock antenna on.

 

How bad was the reception on yours?

If I go underground parking for 1 level, I can still get decent reception, but I guess that really depends on where you're going lol. Some places which I've gone to have poor reception regardless.

 

Much better looking IMHO
