help me decide!

I run a Greddy Ti-C and been doing a lot of reading about fitment issues and tapering problems. I ran across a dyno post by pcasso87 and he made excellent power. Also he is running a Ti-C. I pmed him in reguards to any fitment / tapering issues with the UR bolton's he purchased and he said all the fitments are perfectly fine, nothing was modified. I will be running an HFC setup (wanna pass inspection & not looking to make more than 350whp). After calming my nerves with all these issues people talked about with the Ti-C I decided between two companies:

AMS 02 WideMouth & HFC
vs
UR 02 & HFC

What one would you get?

Incase you guys were wondering about the fitment/taper issues, his response to my PM and his dyno post can be found @ the below links.

I know you didn't mention us, but we have a nice downpipe and HFC option as well. We also add a bend to the test pipe to clear the drive shaft. This will prevent the rattling that you get with a lot of straight test pipes.

Good Luck!

Michael

I think you're fine with all three options. I run the UR pairing with ETS CB. I've been happy as a lark with that setup, sounds sweet and low. I have read some busting the UR o2 housing with 500+ HP, but that's second hand. The anecdote/story teller there went with AMS, supposedly more solid. Both the AMS and ETS O2 split the exhaust/TB outlets solidly for a short span before merging, unlike the OEM and UR O2 housings do have them two mingling, a lot or a little respectively.

Since I'm gonna due business with AMS soon for a tune, and I have loved dealing with Michael and Darryl at ETS and UR respectively, you're looking at all good vendors and products. Probably will come down to gut feel and a given price/discount from one of them. FWIW, I don't think you can go wrong with any of the three.

Any o2 dp would honestly be fine. For your power goals, I can't imagine you'll pick up much more power with one over another.

I just went with a complete UR turbo-back setup, no cat or mufflers. Insane good pricing, and it is going to be here tomorrow. Hella fast shipping. (ordered it yesterday!)

Unfortunately, the towns I live in and the surrounding areas are very strict with noise levels. My local inspection station also uses mirrors to check cats.

I'm leaning toward the UR HFC over the AMS because it is a little cheaper. But the AMS DP price does justice for the 300 cell count.

ETS pricing is a little high for me. Would ne1 care to explain which is better.... recirculated dp vs regular 02 Eliminator and why the pricing is the same ?

are you deciding between running an open dump or what HFC and DP to run?

I think he means atmospheric dump or recirculated downpipe. The atmospheric is better (marginally), but super ****ing loud because the wastegate is dumping straight underneath your engine compartment. My old turbo'd lancer had that type of setup and it was awesome but very loud.

Where in NJ did you say you lived again? I'm in central NJ and have zero issues.
