Thinking about buying an EVOX GSR or MR. Is it worth it??
Sup fellas, past owner of a couple evos. I am thinking about buying an 08 evox GSR or an MR. Any common issues besides the notchy shifting from 2nd to 3rd?
Lets say i could get the MR for the same price of the GSR is it worth it?
I drag race and autocross. How do these cars perform on both these plateaus? I know thats a broad question so bare with me. I guess what im trying to ask is. Is the evox MR a competitor at autox being that its paddle shift and all? What about its performance on the drag strip? We only have an 1/8th mile drag strip so to be really honest id only be looking to run 7.9 8.0's.
Let me know. I want to get one but don't want to spend the money and be disappointed.

I'd say go with the GSR. I'm not going to hate on the SST, but I personally would prefer driving manual, and just get a short shifter and some base bushings and forget all about that notchy 2nd to 3rd.

If you're doing autocross and planning on staying fairly stock, MR is pretty good due to the better stock suspension and SST. If you're going for lots of power, of course, GSR is the way to go.
Drag racing is definitely not recommended for the MR, though, unless you upgrade the transmission.
