Update on my car...

Good News: Total estimate is about $1,800. The door will be replaced. A door costs $575. I thought it would be more expensive than that.

Bad News: They are fully booked and the next available appointment is Dec 6.

 

That really sucks. I am surprised a door is that cheap tho.

i took out 2 possoms last nite LOL, not a scratch on the undercarriage. The mother i SWEAR DUCKED, i literally seen her bow her head before the car went over them. Pretty surer they bounched off my exhaust leaving 4 little white hairs, no blood, and must have all survived as none were on the road still. Gr8 times at 3am in the country cruising!

Did you get a second opinion? That sounds insanely cheap for a door replacement, especially if you can't get the door open to check for damage where the door meets the quarter panel on the inside. If the door hanger is messed up, that'll be a pretty big expense. On top of that, you have to use an Evo door, which is undoubtedly going to be more expensive than a Lancer door. If it ends up being $1800 for that, you're extremely lucky.

Sorry to see it, though. That would be depressing. On the bright side, at least it was confined to the door instead of the engine compartment.

 

It must be that time of year or something. Is it bow hunting season??? I swear that hunting season makes it worse & scares them all out of the woods or something. I saw a van driving around today with an extension on the back full of dead deer. He was a government worker. PA is rediculous with the deer situation. I luckily have only hit one in my life. Only suffered a cracked headlight. I would be frigging enraged if I hit one with my evo.
