CAI question

I've been bouncing around between a few different brands of CAI over the past few weeks and I've narrowed it down to either the AEM or the AMS. I like the AEM because of the air box design, but the AMS just looks cleaner to me with all the polish it has. I know that both brands are reliable and command a lot of respect in the modding community, but I'd like to get some feedback from those of you who actually have these parts installed so I can make a final decision.

Thanks in advance guys!

I was thinking about ETS as well and I still might go that route depending, but I already know everything I need to know about them. Also, I'm trying to get as much as I can from VividRacing and they don't carry the ETS CAI

Speaking of which, how are you liking yours?

You've forgotten my favorites: Cobb SF and AFE Stage 2

The ETS is also nice. I'd personally look for one that retains the stock MAF housing.

Which air filter would you recommend running with the AFE S2...the Pro 5R or the Pro Dry S?

I went with the Pro Dry S which seems to be the more popular choice. Better filtering and easier cleaning.

I really like the heatshield design of this intake which retains the stock snorkel and the fact the filter is placed further into the corner of the engine bay than most other kits.

Just shipped out yesterday, estimated delivery is next wednesday the 10th. Will isntall the following weekend and let you know . Not to take anything away from Vivid as I have never done business with them and the guy from there on this site is very friendly, but if you are looking for a bargain on ETS goodies, give Adam @ MAPerformance a shout. I customized both my Intake and IC Full Kit (UICP, LICP) to get the piping the color I wanted and couplers and everything would have been almost 1400 after shipping, had I just clicked add to cart and ordered it. He threw me a price that made me go , without even asking for it.

Good lookin out! I just might do that. Although I'm sure he gave you a really good deal considering you were ordering everything at once whereas I'm on a married guy budget and the wifey will only let so much $$ go towards the Evo at a time lol! That's why I'm going the VividRacing route...I love me some financing options

Haha I just used my no interest card I just opened to do a balance transfer to get about 800 bucks off a high interest card through best buy. Unfortunately for me and my financial stability, they threw me a 10k credit line, do you know hard it is to not order everything you want when they offer you no interest for 24 months, and only 7% afterwards? lol to limit myself to ordering 1100 worth of stuff took the self-control of ghandi. But I figure 1100+800+car payment, I need to chip away at some of that debt before I go and rack up another 5000 on that card.

Yeah, I believe you, brother! I know if it was me I'd order me a lovely heap of shiny new parts with that line of credit lol! I might not be married afterwards, but that credit line would be burning a hole right through my wallet! So props to you for showing a tremendous amount of self-control

Aren't these all really SRIs? I went with Speedcircuit and can't be happier. Ran well on my Cobb OTS Stage 2 tune before I got a tune by Ivey
