Epic story. Hope the hand isn't anything serious. Good luck with the estimate.

The gear was in neutral and I didn't have my handbrake up.
I would never purposely park a car in neutral without the handbrake up... even on a perfectly level ground. I guess this is a good lesson learned - not in a mean or bad way.

update:

I went to a reputable shop and the damage is about 800 dollars if I want to paint part of the rear passenger door and the roof. the reason to paint undamaged part is that the new painted color will blend in and be less conspicuous. If i just want to paint 1 door alone and have it fixed, the cost is about 500..
I also went to the collision center of my dealership for a quote, and the estimate was also similar; so i think i would choose the reputable shop that fixes a lot of bmw, mercedes and porches.

can anybody give me his feedbacks to use my insurance or not? or should i fix the door only, or spend the 800 dollars to make it an excellent job.

money on me isn't tight, but Ireally can't justify to pay 300 dollars extra for something like that.

Blend out the door for sure. If you dont you will see it everytime you look at your car for ever and you will always wish you would have. Im suprised a shop would give you a option.

it was rolling backwards because my handbrake wasn't up. I think my garage ground was not perfectly leveled.

I'm curious who would've laid the concrete in your garage with it not being level. That sounds like it isn't to code and you could most definitely sue due to negligence. There's no way your car should just start to "roll" towards the door. Post some photos I'm curious. Let's see that shiner of a hand you were talking about.. Glad you're alright in the end!

Update:
The car is being taken care by hanley's brothers in houston. The damage is about 750. I didn't take any pictures, or I do not want to take any pictures simply it was a terrifying experience to have. My left hand is okay, and I am planning to fix my garage wall this weekend.

Guys, remember to pull up the handbrake or put it in first gear. To pghdsm, my condo was built in 1984 and I do not know if the garage floor was poorly built. It's actually a pretty nice condo in my neighborhood, and the ex owner lived here for 17 years without any issues. I think it was just a bad day for me.. bye bye 750 dollars...

Smashing car >= Smashing hand > car rolling into street and causing major multi-car accident, killing babies, causing nuclear meltdown, etc etc.

Garage floors are supposed to slope a couple of degrees away from the house in most cases. It moves the water out rather than rotting out the concrete / wood.
