I like it, but I don't think it looks anything like the EVO X. if anything the front looks like an LF-A ripoff. the rear end is terrible, but overall the car looks pretty good. if it's got the power and handling, it could be an EVO contender. not for me though...it'll likely be way overpriced IF it actually does have the performance to back up the looks.

If I was going to go upscale, i'd still with a BMW 335 or M3. No other AWD system feels like the EVO's. the closest thing to it is Acura's, but they put it on cars that can't make full use of the system. Their system is as good, or better than mitsu's, but they need to put it on something smaller with more power. If they ever made something like the size of the old TSX (that looked as good) with AWD and 350 or so HP, i'd be all over that.

sorry, this is a contender to the GT-R,, competely outclasses the evo. its gonna have a little over 400 hp, not 300, and like you say weigh around 2850. also gonna cost around 100k and most likely be a limited production car with a run of 500. audi said they would make it if they could get 500 buyers from dealers around the world

^got this info out of EVO magazine

if it was around the price of an evo (even if it had 300hp) i'd buy it in a heartbeat. power is easy to make on a turbo engine, and being a 5 cylinder it should be good for more power on pump gas than an evo. the wieght is awesome. considering the evo is about 3500 lb, its impossible to lose 650lb without completely stripping the car. and i also love the face that its a hatchback... but that last one is just me...

i still prefer the current gen audi s4.. i think it is potentially a legitimate competitor to the evo X. amazing engine and drivetrain, outruns any stock evo even though it weights 2 tons. if it shed a few hundred pounds it would be a monster. plus the engine is very strong/receptive to tuning/increasing boost

I love the original Quattro. They tweak the front end of that concept and it might not look so bad...

UGLY YES, but a 2.5 Turbo AWD and 2800 Pounds, that's an application killer. Take the GTR, it is a 1000K heavier and would need an additional 100WHP to keep even per mod.

The issue will most likely be price. They need to keep it sub 40K, with a bare bonz model I don't see why not?

The S4 is V8 and a 4 seater and stuffed with amenities? This thing is a stripped out 2 seater with a 5-banger. It has to be cheaper.

Id rock this little audi but probably not for the price tag! I do believe if the Focus was to come over that it would be a closer competition to the evo.

To the guy who said that the RS6 is in the league of an evo, oh lord, the RS6 is not even close... If i could get the Audi C6 RS6 or a Evo, I wouldn't for a second think of the evo....
I was thinking about the evo IX MR vs the RS6 when it came out. for such an expensive vehicle the resale value is worse than the evo.

lol... you obviously haven't been following german automakers pricing logic. it reads something like this. lets take a car we have, take stuff out, and charge at least 50% more!

WOW, that rear end is a horrible remake of the dodge challenger, well the taillights at least, and what are they doing with the interior? Kinda plastic looking with nothing in it.

Does anyone remember the Audi 90 20V? It was made ca. 92 and still stands as the last Audi I wanted to buy. At that time, Audi was vacillating between becoming a luxury manufacturer and maintaining some semblance of their sporting heritage. After the 90 20V, Audi followed a common mode - isolation. If Audi can make a real sporting machine - and I'm not talking about a river barge stuffed with needlessly derived electrical/mechanical gremlins - I'd consider a purchase.

Couldnt' agree more, back looks like the charger, front evo and panels like the GTR. GG Audi, better luck next time. Plus, after what many have experienced with Audi's - although most are beautiful cars, their build quality is lacking.
