From my previuos Audi A4, found it's maintenance to be very expensive.

yeah, like an Evo is any better

newsflash: any car worth taking care of is going to be expensive, even moreso if you don't do it yourself.

what he meant probably was something breaking down, electrical glitches etc. making it expensive. the evo expense is purely maintenance and that is not bad. if you bought it used/modified, that doesn't qualify to the equation.

minus the 2 door it looks flashy. Gotta have the 4 doors... Not to mention that the price tag will prolly start from 50k-60k...

lightweight - check
turbo - check
awd - check
price??? - unknown

I think the performance of this car could be sick and I think it looks decent.

For those who think this thing will be $40-50k, I think you need to look at what other cars sporting carbon fiber and 400bhp command in the marketplace. Add the fact that this is a luxury brand and I'd guess you are at 80k as a GTR competitor.

PS popo at 1:40 AND 2:08 in the video

Oops, guess I missed that in the article. Oh well, this makes me feel better about owning my fat pig Evo X at $30K and a few K in mods. I'll take that over "exclusivity" (because I am poor)

Yes, as predicted it would be pricey but my point is this car as well as others, with somewhat lower price tags (i.e., GTR "tank"), R dwarfed by the EVO when it comes to "best bang for the buck"...similar performances are capable from our "turboed rollerskate"with basic mod's...yes, it may not be posses the classic coupe lines but from a performance perspective, it delivers at a price many can afford to say nothing of its obvious practical features.

Later, Ken

I had a '00 S4, '04 S4 and '08 R32...don't think the new Golf R or any of the Audis will be up to it. They all handled well, felt solid, and the interiors were tastefully designed (R32 steering wheel was top notch). Most of them have received decent HP bumps in the past few years, but German AWD systems are fricking heavy and getting some extra HP out of them will cost you a fortune.

But for a $150k, you could get a 2012 GTR and heavily modded Evo X and beat up on the Audi Quattro twice.
