China has all kinds of auto-plagiarism too. Not sure how patent law is enforced in some of these countries.

doesnt proton have a licensing agreement with mitsubishi to use there designs?

I don't think this is a "fake". Proton sells rebadged Mitsubishi's... and this is just their version of a Ralliart.

IMO - they ruined it. If Proton is allowed to do this, Mitsubishi should make them do it over. Looks like "Amateur day" at the body shop. I think it's also got LEDs under the headlamps too. Uurrrgh

Or look at in a different way...It really makes the REAL Evo X look that much better.

Proton has done Evos in the past... Google for "Proton Wira" and you'll be surprised what they were making 15 years ago...
