A gift for myself!
A gift for myself!
Hello Everyone. I just wanted to share what I have been missing for 18 months since I first got my first Evo VIII. Below is a picture of my 2005 Tarmac Black Evolution VIII GSR SSL (UK Evolution VIII and JDM MMC badge in the trunk). I really liked it since the day I bought it. An unfortunate event happened and my Evo VIII got into an accident back in December 2008. Insurance totaled the car. So sad...

January 2009, I bought a 2007 Honda Civic Si (Yes it has almost every bulletin and recall done, We even sneaked in a brand new clutch when the 3rd gear synchro got warrantied by Honda). Anyhow, I still missed the feeling of driving an all wheel drive car. Last May 2010, I was driving my girlfriend to her work one day and I found the color and package that I want at a local Mitsu dealer around my area. I went there 9am the next day, sales manager was very helpful (I was the only costumer in there lol). Looked at the car, test drove. Took it home later on that day, and wasn't even thinking I bought a car already. By the end of the day, I keep asking myself. Did I really bought an Evo X? Anyway, so here it is. 2010 Octane Blue Evolution X GSR w/ SSS, beside it is my Civic. I really liked how the audio controls are in the steering wheel. Didn't use or set-up my bluetooth feature, I don't like my music (Big 80's, 90's, Area 38) getting interrupted by a phonecall. Anyway, both cars (including the civic) now have 20% tint all around, 50% whole windshield tinted. Eibach Springs, Napa front camber bolt on the Evo, Skunk2 suspension on the civic. I do love both of my cars, I love the feeling of turbo as I do on an Naturally Aspirated high reving engine. Both cars are lowered as I am very **** when it comes to fender gap. I also give Mitsu a big plus on how they designed the A/C system on the Evo X. Last summer when it got over 100+ Fahrenheit here in Maryland. I was totally blown away, The Evo's air conditioning worked like I was in Antartica. I have to turn the thermostat away from max a/c, that's how cold it got inside my car at blazin' dessert temperature outside. I was also glad when they threw in the Ralliart Taillights. Evo and Civic's engine will remain stock, I am not spending anymore money on the car. I am saving up for my girlfriend so we can buy a Toyota 4Runner in the next summer. I am a very proud Evo owner for 2 Evo's. "The spirit of competition" will always be embedded in my heart. Now I am very close to 6k miles. I'll probably do my oil change and tire rotation at my work this Sunday. Thanks for reading my post. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
