Just got the Dealer Reflash and recalls for 08 GSR

I picked up an 08 EVO GSR last weekend and thanks to the post here on the forums I read about the recalls and the TSB for the reflash and took my car to the stealership yesterday. They replaced the parts for the recall and reflashed my ecu. The car feels brand new, idle's good at 750rpm and no hesitation or stuttering past 5k rpm. Just wanted to say thanks to everyone for the knowledge on these cars being spread out to one another on here. And to remind people that are picking up the used evo's to check and make sure the recalls and reflash have been done to their vehicles.

Hey would you happen to know if I might need the reflash aswell? I purchased my car about 2 weeks ago a 2010 GSR and noticed that it had slight idle issues which raised the rpms by about 500-600 at random times for a second or two and then dropped to normal again. This might also be caused by the fan turning on but I am not positive.

I don't believe there are any TSB's for 2010 flashes, but you can always go to your dealer and have them check your VIN.

As said above, I'm not sure if there are any reflashes for the 2010's. If the dealer doesn't ask for your vin to look it up you could always bring up the problem and take it up there. Since it should still be under warranty they will check it out for free and try to fix it. When I called up the dealership they pulled up my vin and said i only needed two recalls. But when I went there and listed idle issue and high rpm stuttering they reflashed it as well.

Yeah the car is for sure still under warranty. I guess I just gotta take it to dealership and have them look it over once again. When I bought the car about a weeks ago it was having the same idle issue more frequently even when I first started it but the sales person told me the car had not been started for awhile so I figured that it just needed to warm up a bit and needed to be driven. But now after 100 miles it's still doing the same thing just less frequently, so I am going to visit them once again real soon and see if there are any reflashes aswell.
