Overrevving when starting off?

Anyone else have this problem?

The car is a brand new 2010 GSR.

Every time I have the clutch pushed in, put it in first to get going the revs go up way past how much throttle input I give it. It seems like the computer thinks I'm going to stall it and gives it extra gas.

This is getting very annoying.... I just touch the gas pedal for half a second (with the clutch pushed in) and it revs up to like 2k RPM WHEN MY FOOT ISN'T EVEN ON THE PEDAL.

The car behaves normally in every other gear as far as I can tell... (only 500 kms on it so far)

I searched and couldn't find an answer. Do these cars just do this? Is it like Mitsubishi did this to help idiots start off in first who have no idea how to drive a manual transmission?

thats how mine is, its more of like a lag from when u tap the pedal to when it actually revs.

mine always revs about 500 rpm past where it was when I clutch it.. My 06 Maxima did the same. Just a new car thing, the clutch is less harsh. If you want that instant grab feeling, get you a really nice clutch/flywheel combo.
