08 EVO X MR.... no nuts???

Hey guys, I titled it this way to get the attention lol

But seriously though, I just got a new WW 08 EVO X MR, and I was looking at the rims and didn't see a lug lock on either rim.... is this not standard with freaking 18" BBS ? Perhaps I don't know what I'm looking at and there are locks on the wheels?

I have a 2005 Acura RSX Types S which has a special looking lug on each wheel that requires a lock... can someone explain to me what is going on? Sorry for the noobness. I'm happy to be a part of the fam

On the lug it will have a rounded star looking indention. Then look in the trunk where the spare tire is and there will be a little key that will fit on the lugs.

Sorry for the bad description.

Yeah... I definitely don't have that. All lugs look EXACTLY the same. I can't imagine these cars would not have that. So basically, my rims will probably get stolen unless I get some.

You definitely do not have the rounded lug.

Hate to sound like a downer, but people will steal your wheels if they want them bad enough. Thieves know how to get around the keyed lugs. Best course of action is a tilt sensor alarm unit.

That's true.. I just feel like I'd be handing them over to them without the locks, though

not likely to be stolen.

our wheels would not work on many cars other than mitsus/lancers.

the buyer of the wheels would HAVE to use the specific mitsu lugs

Aren't wheel locks a dealer option? I have wheel locks... but I also got the Mitsubishi packaged wheel lock set with the car. It's not like the car came with them installed and I only got a wheel lock key.

Nothing special about lug nuts. Standard shank style.

our lug nuts are mitsu specific.

try ordering "after market" lugs for our stock wheels.

very few options available.

As an example, toyota uses the same style lugnuts.

Now if you want pretty jdm aftermarket lugnuts, then you're probably out of luck. Must american aftermarket cos like mcgard and cragar make short shank lug nuts.
