Parking lot nightmare

I, like many others here try to park as far away from everything as possible. And if I have to park next to someone, I try to park so that there's no car to the right of me. My logic is that most cars have only one occupant and that person will be exiting from the driver side, thus to your right. And if they do have a passenger, that person would tend to be more cautious about opening the door, assuming the car doesn't belong to them, so less of a chance for door dings and other crap happening.

I had some a hole open their door and hit my M5 while I was sitting in the car in the ice cream parking lot. I rolled my window down immediately while he just walked away like nothing happened. I told him to bring his fat *** back because he just dinged my 90k car. He wouldnt come back and said he was going to meet his son for ice cream. So I got out of my car and laid my big as boot in his drivers door and left a big as dent. I waited for him to come out and told him I left a present for him and he saw it and just got in his car and drove off pissed off. I almost killed him and this was only a month after I got my car
My g/f hates it too but walking the extra distance isnt going to kill us. I try to keep my X away from the masses as well and the only people Ive ever had park next to me is other nice cars because they "know the code."
That sucks i find it when you park far away you have a better chance to get dinged or messed with...When you park far away people in hooots will park right next to you.Just cause they can....

Here in the northeast, parking lots are extra f'ed with all the snow. Less spots, can't see the lines and people's brains are frozen. Usually park my X in the back of my office parking lot. There's a mountain of plowed snow there now...

My new mirror assembly and mirror cover arrived yesterday. The color on the mirror cover matches my paint exactly and the new mirror assembly was a piece of cake to install. In total it took about 15 minutes to swap out the broken one for the new one.
I'm a happy camper again now that my car is back to normal condition.
I will still continue to park far away from others but that won't keep others from parking next to me.
