I have a 2010 X SE, so I don't have a clutch pedal. But I was wondering about the GSRs and in race situations, how would you do heal and toe down-shifting? My pedals are 3 inches apart. Are they closer on a GSR or the same?

 

I could do it, it just took some time getting use to.

 

yea we gotta wear wide shoes to heal-toe or adapt our driving style.
i mostly wear casual work shoes or pumas and I still miss the gas sometimes with the edge of my right foot. lulz

 

I can heal-toe just fine in mine. I do the side/side method of heal-toe though and have been doing it for years. I do it in pretty much any manual car and all the time, makes it easier when I actually need to like in racing because it's more natural and second nature since I do it all the time.

I'm not sure if they are closer than an MR or not, but not sure why it is mattering since you do not have a clutch pedal. It's not very difficult in a GSR, I've definitely driven other cars that are much more difficult especially with pedal height being very far off, but I have driven a few easier as well.

 

I cant do it at all, I have tiny feet (I can still wear kids shoes, I'm a girl). I have been told to get bigger pedals, but I'm afraid that will cause other problems so I'm going to stick to rev-matching for now.

 

i feel that its really awkward to heel toe in the X, strictly because the pedal heights on the brake and the throttle are so different. Anyone know how to adjust the heights so they're even? Distance between the pedals isn't too bad

 

IMO, the distance between the pedals are okay and I can heel-toe fine wearing my pumas.

Slightly off-topic, but the only problem I've noticed is that throttle response is terrible when trying to rev-match/heel-toe so you have to depress the throttle rather a lot in order to rev match which makes heel-toe that much harder. I'm not sure if this is due to the DBW (this is my first car with DBW so maybe this is normal?) or if that's just how GSRs are or if my car just sucks...Has anyone else noticed this?

I have noticed they are a little off level, but those pedals you posted up look awesome! Might have to look into some. Looks like it bumps the gas pedal up a bit. Also the rev delay is normal from what I know, but I've driven and drive on a daily basis a lot of DBW cars so I might just be used to it. I actually over rev sometimes because I'm still getting used to the GSR a little. As for arireyes, good to see you are still rev matching, that's mainly what heel-toe is about, just braking at the same time. Those pedals posted up might help you out with your tiny feet, putting them closer and more on the same level And don't feel bad about having tiny feet, I'd hate to see a girl with as big as feet as me Not very attractive
