Spray down your engine bay? I'm asking cause my radiator cracked and spewed coolant all over the place. Head, pipes, lines, etc...
What should I cover up? All connectors? Oh and I'm not talking like a spray down as if I were watering plants outside, I mean a quick power spray @ a say coin op car wash and hose down the pay for about 15-30 secs?
Thanks

I would just cover up anything electric and then clean the engine bay. On a previous car some newb at the dealership decided to clean my engine bay. The idiot held the spray/steam wand right over the spark plugs and caused water to get inside. As a result... when I came to pick up the car the engine way shaking so violently I thought it was going to rip itself out of the car. The dealership had to replace all the spark plug wiring.
im not a big fan or water in the engine bay lol i usually take my sweet *** time with a rag and soap water and wipe it off...sucks alot but maybe if someone took pictures of their engine bay ready to be sprayed down?

Make sure the engine is cool to the touch. Otherwise, have at it. This is how I've always cleaned my engine bays. Spray a little P21S TAW (total auto wash) and use a detailing brush to agitate the dirt and hose it off, it'll look like new.
Dry most of the plastic parts, then use some 303 Aerospace protectant on all the black bits. It'll REALLY look like new, or better.
I'd cover up where the battery terminal is and the fuse box just in case, however, you should be fine. Happy detailing!

Also leave your engine running. If you shut it off and get water is a bad spot it might not start back up for awhile.
Usually you would use a lite cleaner and let it sit for a couple of minutes and then run water from your garden hose over the engine. This would clean most if not all of the junk off.

Some places it's illegal to wash off chemicals and have them go into the sewer. So if somebody sees a bunch of sudzy water going from your driveway and into a catchbasin you could be in trouble based on where you are.
