what is the best place to get HIDs from? i got 8ks from ddm tuning but they look white no blue in them at all... from what i hear they use the same bulb for 6k and 8k. is there another company that makes HIDs with comparable prices that have that light blue that 8ks are supposed to have?

 

A friend and I use 10k from DDM and they work and look fine. In fact I think the 10ks from DDM somehow seem brighter and more light output than the OEM bulb and they look 8ks

 

From what I understand DDM is dropping out of the HID market. check on this forum: HIDPlanet.com

 

Stupid question from a new EVO owner. To change oem HIDs do you have to buy the balast and all, or just the bulbs themselves? I have the sss package...

since the ballast are integrated onto the headlight housing, i've never heard or seen anybody using after market HID ballast on an SSS model. I justed changed my bulbs to 8K.
