Magnaflow CBE sound vs Buschur X and CNT RS
Magnaflow CBE sound vs Buschur X and CNT RS
OK, I'm sure these exhaust inquiries get old but help me out if you don't mind. I've narrowed my choice down to these 3 "quiet" ones that have a "stock" look. I'm leaning toward the Magnaflow because of looks(rolled tips) and price. Yes, I've listened to samples over and over and over...and read many posts trying to make an informed decision.
The sound samples make the Magnaflow sound barely perceptible. Even on Magnaflow's website, their RalliArt cbe sounds much more aggressive. Is it really that quiet? The Cobb and T1R sound louder from their samples and I thought they were the most quiet.
I want the sound to be low and sporty sounding when cruising/idling but have some presence with WOT. Are the other 2 systems more along those parameters? The Buschur's price is my limit and the CNT's price is tempting but it doesn't have the rolled tips.
I'll be running the stock cat/DP. Car is a daily driver too. Thanks for the help.

My Magnaflow has enough rumble at idle that I worry about my neighbors in the morning.
Does not drone on the highway, and has a smooth low tone under accel.
And as far as finish goes, the MF is definitely the nicer option IMO. Rolled tips with reinforced plating you can actually see.
But I'm, you know, bias.

The Greddy SE is also a very low tone. I have it and love how quiet it is at low RPM's but sounds very aggressive when you really open it up. But as for the choice's you have, COBB is quiet. I was considering it but liked the finish on the Greddy. Good luck.
If you are going to run the stock cat, a Magnaflow exhaust should be almost stock quiet at idle. I am running a Magnaflow exhaust with the 3" MAP fix with a UR mini muffler test pipe and it is SUPER quiet at idle. When I get on it the exhaust has a pretty nice and deep tone to it. Definitely more aggressive than stock at that point but in no way annoying or overly loud.
I've owned both the Magnaflow and the Cobb, both are quiet and I can recommend both, but Cobb's is the quieter of the two and has a bit smoother tone. Tough to beat Magnaflow's bang/buck though and it does still have a nice deep tone to it.

I was in the same boat as you, and I actually just installed my Magnaflow yesterday. I really like the sound of the exhaust. The quality of the Magnaflow is good, but you have to take your time with the exhaust clamps. The magnaflow is definetly louder than stock at rpms above 3000. Below 3000 its stock like with a deep "burble" sound. At wide open throttle, you hear the Turbo and the wastgate working really hard with the boost. I really enjoy this exhaust. I can honestly say that the sound clips don't do it justice. If you listen to the magnaflow video with the evo accelerating away you can faintly hear what it sounds like under load. Price to value, magnaflow is good. From what i found from my research, the burshur is a lighter version of the magnaflow that also eliminated the fitment issues of the clamps and the bottle neck. The Cobb is also a quality exhaust, with a moderate sound and deep tone.
The nice thing about the Buschur is that the can is in the middle of the car to centralize weight, and the exhaust doesn't take as many abrupt turns... I have the bullet and I'm definitely coming to terms that its too loud, however I'm planning to just replace the front section with the quiet one because I like the design so much.
Check out my Magnaflow and Buschur Crossflow comparison here.
BTW, I will post the Buschur for sale as soon as I can take pics.
