Thanks Guys! Changed my mind and went with a black one, no long the side mirros problems! This is going to be my second evo, so i now what i am in for!
The Se was perfect because it was cheaper and had just what i wanted out of the car. being able to shift without letting go of the sterring wheel made this car even more fun!

the closest to that i saw in the ny/nj area was $31K for a black SE that the dealer wanted off the lot -- that included the $2K mitsu rebate and was pre-tax and DMV, prior to 2010 yearend when dealers had some additional incentives. However in my area the sales tax alone is 8.625% and DMV runs about $250.

i'd assume there is more negotiating room on the white & black as there are 2x as many made in those colors vs. GG or OB. however, you usually find there are reasons that account for the difference in price (taxes, dmv, etc.) rather than one dealer just being particularly generous

whatever the case, the evo SE is the best bang for the buck for performance of any car in its class, and if i ever cross paths with you or any other evo driver, you're getting the thumbs up from me!
