Question Daily Driver Evo X MR | Noob :(

Alright, I don't have the car yet, but I plan on getting on in June. I'm posting this thread a bit early because I'd rather having the hassle if decision making out of the way. I'm going to be using the Evo as a daily driver. Weekend driving and work commute. From my house to my job is like 7 miles, so it's pretty cool. Anyway, my question to you is what would be a good set up for basic mods. I know the givens, like TBE and Intake. If anybody could write me up a little list, I'd appreciate it greatly. If wrong section, please move.

Cheers, mates.

Edit: Please, don't flame me. I know I'm pathetic.

Drives: FAIL lulz...

Well if your doing basic mods then the MR might be good. Have you ever driven a car without a clutch? Some people on here have traded in their MRs for GSRs... not to say the MR is a bad car at all cause its not.

Can't go wrong with MR or GSR. 7 miles isn't a long commute... You need to drive both and decide what you can live with

Yeah, 7 miles is pretty good. I've already made my decision on buying the MR. I know people hate it because it's basically "Automatic", but I don't really care that much. I'm willing to take the heat.

Also, I just re-read my original post and the grammar is horrific. LOL.

You could add an upper intercooler pipe and a tune to your list. Enjoy the MR.

Paddle shift is really cool but some people get way too crazy over the whole "i only drive stick cars bla bla bla". Go to Buschur racings website and just go by the stages you cant go wrong like that. But really i know you dont wanna hear it but just the intake Full turbo back, MBC and tune is when the evo is the best. Its still smooth as a watch and youll see the biggest bang for your buck with that. It all depends on your goals but i hear the mr tranny gets wore out fast after 450 awhp. If it was me I would get the mr and just a nice stage 1 and 2.

If you call the MR evoX automatic then you have to call alot of the super cars autos too. If its in enzo's it has to be good.

The Enzo and other pre-2010 Ferrari cars used a single-clutch automated gearbox. Different tech.

I now have 46k on my MR and enjoy driving it. First year was hard without stickshift. However, now when I drive stick, I want to go back to my MR. Great car.

Great feedback so far, thanks a bunch. Now if anyone can make some sort of a list with like basic/minor modifications including important things like Boost Control, etc.

I know it's a bit much to ask for but I'm so lost o.O

The SST is a great tranny and it'll save your leg in traffic. That said, I miss manual like crazy even after 2 years of ownership, but other than that, I've had no issues with it.

I live in California too, so driving a manual would be a bit annoying, yeah? Lol...
