When are people doing changing there tranny/diff fluids?

Just as the title says, I'm trying to see when most people are changing there Evo X gsr tranny and diff fluids. I see some places recommend every 15K, some every 30K some every 5-10K depending on how you drive it.

I'm about 15K now and wondering if I should really do it now or if it can wait til 30K like the manual says for regular maint?

Thanks in advance for your input.

The manual says severe driving is every 15K miles. I change at 15K miles. Most Evos will be severe duty driving esp when tracking or even driving in street traffic.

15k is the smart choice.

I just go by what the service manual says. So 30k is where I am doing mine.

IMO, if you are modded, consider your driving as severe & change every 15k. I changed my trans fluid around 23k miles (100% stock) and will prob be getting my diffs changed by a Mitsu dealer just so I know it's done right & I don't have to worry about filling the wrong fluid in the wrong hole (and if they mess it up, I get new parts at their expense!). I'm at 28k miles, so those fluids will be changed shortly.. I have some coupons for the dealer, so I'll prob have them rotate my tires while they're at it too..

There's pretty much two schools of thought. 1) Do what the manual says - it's written by Mitsubishi. 2) Change it more frequently - it can't hurt.

It looks like you get a new car every two years? Up to you really.

If it were me, and I planned on keeping the car, I would do it every 15K. Personally, I'm on the 15K plan. Its a pretty easy DIY with a fluid pump.

I'm at 15K now and I have at appt at STM on tuesday to get tuned by emery so I think I'm just going to have them change the tranny, diff and transfer case fluids all while its there to be safe. Can't hurt, plus then it'll have all fresh fluids and be ready for the spring/summer weather
