Have an MR and I think it's very good as a daily driver. DCT keeps the shifts lightning quick, but also takes away all of clutch work in traffic. With the premium and nav packages, there are enough amenities to keep a techie like me happy. The seats are very comfortable imo and the leather+suede seats are absolutely beautiful. Rockford Fosgate system is quite good for a stock system.

Shortcomings: trunk space, developing rattles, road noise, small gas tank

Seeing as I got this car for performance first, I can overlook those shortcomings for the sheer fun I have every day I drive this car.

08 MR with basic bolt ons, works great as my DD never gets stale driving it and its comfortable enough for me and anyone else that gets in the car. Interior isn't amazing but the MR trim and such makes it bearable to look to at and the Nav is pretty nifty for holding music and ****.
So far 0 problems 48k miles on it. The cost to service it is a bit high, but lower then a BMW in most cases I imagine due to there fuel pump issues. As far as noise it's not bad, when it was stock it was very quiet, since i upgraded exhaust theres some interior rattle, but im sure I could fix it with some felt in the dash/glovebox.

I guess only main downside is mpg. Expect around 21-23 highway and pitiful amounts in city even when being careful.

I have a laggy turbo, a very stiff clutch, and drive 60+ miles a day in stop and go traffic. I love it. 32k and counting. I average 21 mpg. Best ever mpg was 24ish worst was 12mpg (E85).

Up until my clutch started slipping from my new power, I was DDing my Evo IX.

I think it's a comfy car compared to some other vehicles I've DDed in the past. Beats the hell out of my Mustang Cobra in anything but perfect conditions. Smoother ride too without the solid rear.

I would say go for it. X or IX. The X isn't the only comfortable Evo.
