Left headlight illuminates lower then right
Left headlight illuminates lower then right
Just traded in my 03 evo for a 2011 2 weeks ago..and recently noticed that the left headlight points lower then the right one..i cycled the headlights up and down, ive gave it a good look over to make sure it was mounted in the car correctly..is there something im missing that easily fixes this?? I dont wana take it back to the dealership if i dont need to..any tips would be greatly appreciated!
It's supposed to be like that. So that you aren't blinding oncoming traffic in the left lane.
As long as it's not like a 6 inch gap. It should be like a 1-2inch "drop" from the right to left headlight.

Most annoying thing to stare at...driving down a flat road with no oncoming traffic..it just looks all kinds of stupid..and the lights dont go up very high as it is..i use my high beams like its kul when theres no traffic..is it suppose to sense oncoming traffic and adjustment on itz own? And level back out or what..thx for the help btw
I don't really notice it much, mainly when it's against a wall like the pic I linked.
No, It doesn't adjust that gap in height according to traffic. It just stays like that. I don't see why you need high beams? Do you have non-HID headlights? If that's the case then yea, the light output isn't enough for me either.

Your lights are both set up exactly the same, if you're the right distance from the wall you'll see they are the same height. An easy way to tell is to turn your brights on, and if the shape is not exactly like the top of a stop sign then you need to adjust your lights.
They're designed like this as to not blind on-coming drivers in countries where left-hand drive wheel/right side of the road is the standard. Since the brights are intended to be used when drivers are not around, they should be symmetrical/level/even on both sides in this case, so this is why your brights are even and low beams are not. Here is how it should look when against a wall 10 or so feet away:

My passenger side was retardly aimed too low from the factory. So low that street signs never kit up. A few twists and now it's great. The drivers side could be a tad higher, but not going to mess with that side.
