Is it possible that the shifter is locked?

Ive not worked with the Automatic yet but it wouldnt suprise me to find that there is an electric circuit of some sort that will not allow the shifter to move unless the right criteria is met.

I would suggest trying to turn the vehicle off, putting the key in the On position and trying to change the gear selector.

Also, remove the tail lights you just installed and put the stock tails back in (shouldnt take more than 20 minutes or so). If your vehicle miraculously works after that, you can conclude that there is an issue with the product or the way they were installed.

Maybe adjust the title of your post to "cant change gears (AT) after tail light install, please help"
you may get better response with that.

You most likely need a load resistor for the LEDs, I know quite a few people who put LED tails on lancers had a similar problem and after they put the resistor on everything worked perfectly.

You do know it helps to write out what the solution to the problem was after you find it right? It helps others who might have this issue down the road.
