Lost your key?

I'm just curious as to where people are losing their keys in the vehicle. The few times I couldnt find mine, it had fallen out of my pocket and in between the seat and console. Ok Ok so the problem is I cant find my damn key! It's close enough to the steering column that i can get inside and just start the car up. i checked inbetween/under the seats but cant find the damn thing! Any suggestions?

There is a cutout in the carpet underneath the seat that I lost my keys in once, only reason I found them is because I seen a small portion of my key ring shining
