X on long trips?

Next week ill FINALLY be getting my evo back from the dealship after them replacing the diff, front axle and both wheel bearings. I had plans to take it on vacation to orlando fl. Never been on any trip more than 20 miles with it. Input from anyone who's been on long trips? yay or nay on taking it fresh from the dealership?

Car has terrible range and once it gets low watch out. When in doubt gas up!

I bought mine in NY and drove 960 miles and 13 hours back to Chicago. The ride wasn't bad. If your taking a trip the trunk is pretty small. That's. Probably my only complaint. Gas wasn't that bad, but I normally stayed between 75-80.

I've been taking mine between indiana and va. Mileage is so-so but the seats are pretty comfy for long trips.

yay or nay would largely depend on your confidence in the dealer work, but I would say go for it otherwise.

I take mine from Salt Lake City to Los Angeles from time to time. It's not a bad car, the range is kinda small (250ish to be safe) so you're not stuck in the middle of no where if you run out of gas. Trunk space is kinda lacking but it's fine if it's just you and some other person so you could use the back seats too. Other than that, turn up the music, let cruise control work for you and I think it'll be fine.

Reno to LV and back, about to do Reno to LA and back this weekend. No issues for me, comfortable as can be. Just wish the gas mileage was a little better when driving over 80 =[

My wife and I did a 3k mile roadtrip last summer in it and are doing it again in two weeks. Plan to gas up every 200-250 miles; other than that, have fun!

I absolutely prefer racing seats for long car rides, so the bolster are a huge plus. I've only had mine on a 500 mile round trip, but it's certainly a good car for small(ish) trips. Not much trunk for a 5 person trip or anything, but fine for 2. Gas mileage was about 280/tank for me, getting gas just before or just after the light came on.

I've driven my EVO X on multiple 500+ km trips... and I was perfectly fine and comfortable doing it. Fuel consumption will go down too... I think I could get an extra 100 miles out of a tank of fuel... even tho I was driving at a good pace.

Did a beach trip this weekend. Google Maps says it is about 140 miles, 2-1/2 hours. The trip down I hit traffic and was at a stand still several times, took 4+ hours. I averaged 21.2 MPG, left with a full tank showed up with a half tank. My a$$ kinda hurt due to the stiffer seat cushion but then again I don't have much of my own cushioning. Otherwise the drive was comfortable, and fun as always. Only one passenger was with me and depending on "necessary" luggage, I think a max of 3 people is reasonable due to cargo space.

On the way back, little to no traffic, averaged a higher speed, gas mileage was 22+ MPG.
