Winsheild Washer Operation Normal??? Or not....

So tonight I accidentally hit my washer stalk real quick towards me like I was washing the windshield. I've never done this before, and the car's wipers went like normal washing, but the washer jets did like 4 or 5 spurts like it was doing it to miss the wipers. Just wondering if everyone's does this or what. I know quite a bit about cars and all their cool little things, but have never seen this before. I also had the wheel turned the first time so was unsure if something in the column was making this happen so tried it straight on and it still did it. Kind of cool I thought actually.

A quick pull triggers the intermittent wash cycle, holding the lever just runs the fluid continuously.

A nice feature indeed, also scares people in the back seat when the pump starts operating haha

I never knew that. Is it just '10 and ups? I know the blinkers do that but I've never seen the washers. I never really use them tho..

Yeah I don't use mine a lot either, I accidentally hit it quickly while I was turning into my drive. I'm sure it's all X's but next time just hit it forward real quick and see if you get a show!!

Haha. Will do. I'm curious now. I just hate using them because you can see all the blue residue after..

I think it is just the '10 and ups. I tried it this morning and unless I was doing it wrong, it wasn't working..

My '09 GTS wasn't doing this, but my '10 RA and '11 Evo do it. So yeah, '10 and up.

Yeah, I thought mine was broken or possessed the first time it did it. Afterward I used it all the time.

I did, sorry I didn't memorize the 550+ pages of it. The windshield washer section wasn't exactly the most riveting section
