Yes. That restriction you see is the removeable silencer. The outlet tip is 4.5", just to show some perspective.

NOTE: As the exhaust gases cool, they take up considerable less volume. So a restriction way up front where the gases are the hottest, say right out of the turbine housing, is more critical than one at the rear of the system, where the gases are the coolest.

Think steam flow. The cold line is always smaller.

aww okay thats what I was thinking!!! thanks for clearing that up! My silencer sits closer to the end of the tip thats what thru me off!

This exhaust sounds very reasonable maybe because of the resonator? Any owners care to comment? I want something that is not too loud.
