Evo X Gap Issues
Evo X Gap Issues
I got my car back from the body shop a few weeks ago and I was somewhat satisfied...until I noticed some gaps which got me nervous. I know it can never be the way it was but I was hoping to get it back the way it was before. The accident only caused damage to my Driver's side HID, Driver's side fender and front bumper. Another issue that I have is the paint being matched...will it fade overtime and completely be off from the rest of the car? Anyway, here are some pictures of the gaps that I see, the main one being where the fender and hood meet.

Everything looks good to me besides the headlight gap. I could see how the small gap under the headlight would be annoying. If you are dissatisfied, then just go back to them..
The gaps look decent to me but it's not my car and I'm not seeing it in person (I'm also **** about that sort of thing).
The color of the painted parts will always be slightly different than the rest of the car and there's no real way for them to fix it short of painting the whole car. That's the annoyance of having to get your car fixed. I'm the same way, I'm a perfectionist and color sensitive enough that I can even tell the difference between the factory panels (there are often color differences between panels from the factory that weren't painted at the same time).

I'll probably go with painting the whole car a few years down the line to Weightless White.
I'm going to go to a reputable body shop in Pasadena, CA to get my tires/wheels/springs installed while I'm there I'll get the whole car checked out.
If you see my car in person you can notice the gaps...it bugs the hell out of me.
I had the same issue with the front right side of my bumper, went to a friend at the body shop, he told me the clip fell off/out. Fixed right up for me in 10 minutes, told me it wasn't a hard job. You just need to make sure all the clips are in.

i hate gaps... and some body place just throw the car together quickly and do a rush just to get paid and be on to the next car, since its through insurance and they will get paid... sorry to hear man!!
Take the bumper off and look at the tabs that go under the headlight. Make sure they're up above the "little thing" that they go above. Should fix the gap under there. There is actually a write up about it on here. It's very easy to take it off and get it back on right
