I noticed my passenger side light was out last week. When I checked it it seems that the HID bulb must have gotten jolted loose enough to short with the controller unit it plugs into. The dealer tells me the the controller is a $718 part! A pair of aftermarket lamps go for ~$1000. Are there any cheaper solutions, what would you recommend I do?

 

You're best bet to to find a used one from a totaled car.

 

Just to make sure send me a Photo, I have 2 spares only really need 1 spare ballasts.

I'd consider to sell you one lightly used ballast for $200.00 plus shipping.

 

This cant be covered under warranty?
