Hey guys! I just bought a brand new WW 2011 Evolution X GSR! I'm planning to post some pics up very soon, but I was just wondering what things, if any, should I be looking out for in these first few weeks of ownership? I've heard its a good idea to change all the fluids outta the system in the first couple hundred miles. I was planning to do oil already, should I also do the tranny fluid, and anything else? How much would it cost for a full system flush?


I'm also planning on getting some vinyl wrap done on the roof, (love the way it adds more to the stormtrooper look!) and im planning on getting tint done as well. I might also remove the wing on the back, still debating >.>

well congratz on the new ride =] im sure your in love. Nice choice in color i have a ww too. Honestly i just changed the oil at 1k miles and again at 3k miles. The guys said its good to clean it out when you first get it.

Congrats brother. I concur with above statement regarding oil change at 1k and again at 3k. Just try to contain your excitement until its "broken in". Definitely read the stickys around here regarding things evo X owners should know and you cant go wrong. Enjoy!

Congrats man, I have the same car, same color I also was gonna remove the wing, but I decided to keep it, it has grown on me...... I will keep it of course until I get my Do Luck Trunk lid... but performance mods first for me before looks

 

What sort of price did Capitol Mits give you? And what package did you get aside from the SS??

 

Hey guys. The package i have is the SS package. That's the only thing I got on the car in order to save on the costs. I couldn't justify the Navi, since I'm planning to go aftermarket. Leather was nice, but I couldn't let go of the aluminum roof for a sunroof that I would never use.

Anyways, I'm located in NorCal, which is probably a wee bit far from NY haha.

Karzybo1 I got it for 37k otd, which took a good while of negotiating. There's an Evolution X with the same package on the showroom floor at livermore, and they were willing to do 36.6 otd, but since it was a showroom model there was some scuffs and scratches here or there on the interior.

 

Grats on your new purchase. I just picked up a WW GSR as well on Monday. Like you I went with just the SS option. Only thing I don't like is that there isn't a coin holder in the car. I'd use the ashtray, but I can tell it'll be hard to pull change out of there. Not a huge deal but I buy coffee on my way to work and it's just more convienent. Hope you are enjoying the new car as much as I am!
