Rpm, speed, reverse signals & more found

After a few nightmares trying to figurate out how to get a decent 12 volts signal to make work an aftermarket shift gear monitor I found a device that translate the CAN bus signal into a proper:

12v Pulsed Speed Signal
12V Pulsed RPM Signal
12v Ignition On
12v Reverse Selected *
12v Illumination On *
0v Hand Brake On *

the little box is call:
CANM8-NAV Multi-Function CAN Bus Speed Pulse Interface

And you can see it here:

As you can see our evo x is included in the compatibility list. This little device will allow us to install from now on any universal device that requires those signals. You can name them.

I know that there is some guys taping in the coil signals from the ecu, others taping cables behind the head unit, others from the OBD 2 port. Some had good luck, others like me don't.

the installation of the unit is easy if you have some skills removing the plastic panels of your dash, some basic electrical skills, the rest is really straight forward.

You have to get behind the speedometer unit, and tap on two cables, CAN_Hi and CAN_Low. Pink and green cables crossed, add 12 volts and ground connections and ready, you have in your hands all that info back.

I’m kind of lazy these days to make a "How to" but at less I’m giving you the good news.

Oh, almost forget, as you can see the unit is from UK, but i found a great guy here in US. that has them, it was a great pleasure to make business with him:
