When was the first time you heard of the Evo?
yep. saw the car, played it, saw what it was along with the subaru and loved them. i remember telling myself when i got older, i was going to import an evo 7 to the US cause i found some company that would do it. the 7 had such good looks. i remember wanting one well before i got myself into subaru's.
Buddy of mine had an 04 wrx; thing was modded and quick as hell. Was talking about it with another co-worker from the Philippines and he told me to check out the evo. Eventually it was new car time after my old one died and was set on either an sti or evo x; after some research I picked the best car. Now there is a 2010 x in my parking space.
When I was 15 I had a yellow '02 lancer OZ Rally.. awesome I know, Haha.. I got it right before 2F2F came out. No one in the south had an Evo because no one down here would spend 30k on a 4 cyl car.
Right after that came out, people would keep pulling up next to me and ask if it was the same car in the movie.
when I was about 19 I finally bought the VIII, after building hundreds of IX's on the internet. Then at 20 I bought the X brand new..

Lol honestly, that was the first time I can remember seeing an evo as well. The funny thing is though that the evo in the movie didn't make me want the car, I actually wanted the eclipse.
Fast forward to August 2009 and that is when I got my car, 05 RR VIII RS with 46k miles on it.
On a side note, I actually saw the 2F2F evo (or one of the cars they made for the movie) sitting outside at Reese Tuning. You could tell it was one of the cars from the movie but man, it had to have seen better days. lol

I was young when the first f&f movie came out, I was 15/16, and I gotta say....in shame....that I did like the eclipse.
I was going to get one but only if it was the gs-t or gsx. Thankfully, I didn't!
Now I have an evo x.

Hey now, Who am I? starring Jackie Chan had an Evo IV (Evo 4) in it. That was the first time I had seen the Evo myself back in 1997 and at the time I was stationed over in Misawa, Japan. I had lived in the dorms which the chow hall shared a parking lot with us. Right after seeing the movie, I had went out to get some food and low and behold there was an Evo IV sitting in the parking lot!!! At the time I had a Nissan Silvia, but if I had knew about the Evo before I got my Nissan I would of had gotten an Evo instead. It was fate that brought us together, March 2003 I got an Evo VIII and I still miss it although I have a X now....

Yup!! It was IV. Check out the wiki on Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution. Its pretty much spot on with each model that's been out so far (picture wise).....if I was rich I'd try to collect all of them!!!
It was 2 fast 2 furious for me but I actually didn't like the car. Fast forward 2 years later and I started to come around and after multiple attempts at building a reliable dsm I finally came to my senses and got a 2010 evo x. Best decision I ever made

oh yea!
