Has anybody notice that they are no longer installing the Vin Body Panel Tags?? I am pretty sure that my 08 GSR had them and I know my 06 MR had them. Going to make it a little harder if the car has had any body work done. Wish they wouldn't have done away with that! My 2011 doesn't have them anywhere.

 

My 2011 has the vin plate under the front windshield... if thats what you mean.

 

he means the individual parts like the front and back bumper, doors, quarter panels, trunk ........

The vin tags are for theft. Is it makes it harder to sell a part. As we can see it doesn't help. I don't know if the 2011 don't have them. But all 8's and 9's do.

 

Isn't there a law that makes having VIN's on all cars 2000 and up a requirement?

 

Not talking about the actual vin plate. My Evo IX and I believe my 08 GSR use to have some stickers on each body panel with the Vin number on it. It was a good way to tell if a Evo has been in a wreck or not. Wish they still did it. My 11 doesn't have them.

 

My 2011 Evo X has these Security Vin Stickers. I can see one right now under my hood. Its very shiny =D!

 

The 2010's don't have them either. Probably Mitsu trying to save even more money. Damn penny pinchers!
