I was thinking about getting Black when I 1st got my Evo X 3 weeks ago but went with Silver and love it!

I think if your looking to hide the dirt, Silver is the way to go but black is really nice especially with tinted windows and tail lights.

i don't like black because you could see swirls in the paint eventually.

Black is a PITA to keep clean, but when it is, it's one of the best looking.

My old car was black and when it was clean it looked great. But after a day or so it would be dirty.

Black looks good on the evo and other cars too but the up keep for me is too much work.

I have black and it gets dirty fast. I think the dark grey one would be the best. It looks great and u don't see the dirt on it so fast. That was my favorite color, but i let my whife convince me that black is nicer. I love black tho, especially when is clean.

I just bought a PB 2011 GSR 3 weeks ago and absolutely love the look of it! Yes, after any kinda rain or wet on the road it looks dirty...however, when its clean or just wet it looks super sexy. I have just been taking it through my local "touchless" car wash after it rains and the roads dry up, then do a full hand wash every weekend. I personally am OCD about keeping my car clean no matter the color, so it really doesn't make a difference to me. If your not into keeping it spotless then yes stay away. Also, the swirls will arrive if you dont take the extra time to clean wax etc properly so if you aren't into that part stay away too.

Also, just so you know the PB changes colors as its a pearl based paint so in direct sun it looks dark grey with gold flecks, but at dusk/dawn it can look blackish gold , then in the rain or cloudy day it looks jet black. I personally think its a beautiful paint and worth the extra effort.

To me, black is one of the nicest colors for the X. But a black car is always a pain to keep clean..

the swirls in black paint are a 95% caused by improper washing techniques and/or using poor cleaning materials and cleaning procedures. All car colors can get these swirls and microscopic imperfections but black shows them the most. The swirls can be caused by many things but the most common are from washing techniques like using a dirty rag over and over or not using a 2 bucket method etc... Also not applying the proper protectants (waxes etc), swirls can appear more frequently and more damaging.
