TurboXS Opinions

Okay I've been looking at aftermarket parts for my X and TurboXS seems to be really cheap (Price Wise). I already have a TurboXS CatBack and a AMS Cold Air Intake, so my question is would you recommend other TurboXS parts such as a Front Pipe and a Test Pipe? I'm on a budget and there stuff is so much cheaper than the other guys... but is it one of those things that "you get what you pay for"? Thanks

I couldn't imagine you could go wrong with a test pipe since it more or less is just a pipe. If by front pipe you mean O2 housing/ downpipe, you will probably get better with more cash.

Yea I want to buy there downpipe but I also saw the AMS Widemouth Downpipe and have heard really great things about it... but it's like a $300.00 price difference :/

As far as the turboxs downpipe goes, it's cheap because it's a knockoff of the ams downpipe. I guess they saved a lot of money on R&D..

Most of their evo x products are knockoffs from what I've seen from them. Look at their intake, then look at yours. Look at their FMIC, then look at ets's

I'd be interested to see a HP/TQ numbers difference that is where your biggest answer would be.

I have the TurboXS catback and I couldn't be happier, it's a quality piece and their prices are great.

Nice! I just got mine installed about a week ago and I love it! Do you currently or do you plan on getting any other TurboXS products?

It's a possibility. I'm happy with their products so when I cross shop for new parts I wll definitely see what the have to offer.

Get the testpipe if you want, but skip their downpipe, it's a blatant knock-off of the AMS. Support companies who actually design their own products. I personally feel the MAP o2 elim downpipes are the best bang/buck on the market; plus it's nice buying a quality made in the USA part with a real warranty.

Agreed plus the TurboXS copy is the same price as the AMS piece so you'd be foolish not to choose AMS.

I had a turboback for my sti once, lets just say it went back the following day and when i called them they had this oh well atitude. With AMS ordering on the phone was actually hassle free, the exhaust was very well made. I dont want to spend money on an exhaust and check all the welds, and when you see one and call they give you an atitude.

If you are not installing this yourself the cost of install will be pricey as well. It's going to require you moving the old O2 housing since the widemouth replaces it. If you want a cheaper route just got with a downpipe that has either a test pipe or cat built into it. One piece easy install and saves money You don't need the widemouth really esp on the stock turbo, wait till when / if you ever switch out the turbo.
