3M Venture Shield and Mats

I am getting a 2011 GG Evo MR touring w/nav. It will be a daily driver, so I am getting 3m Venture shield on the car. The standard kit covers the front of the hood and fenders as well as the entire bumper. I am having them do the door sills and the trunk lip to prevent those areas from getting scratched up. They suggested I also do rocker panels. So my question is should I do the rocker panels? I plan on getting the factory mud flaps.

Second is floor mats. I've learned the the winter mats work better for me that the cloth mats. So my question for people is should I get the weather tech or the factory all weather mats?

As an aside I asked about remote start. They told me it wasn't available for the MR. I assume that is because of the SST trans.

Not sure about the 3M shield.. wish I would've gotten it done, but honestly, most of the rock chips I've gotten are in areas that wouldn't have been protected anyways. Have a few where the 3M protects the hood, but more on the outer hood areas closer to the windshield. The front of the car is 100% fine, except a few fine scuffs below the fog lights. My 2010's side skirts are also untouched, but I've gotten a rock chip on each of the drivers side front and rear doors (just below the door handles).

Got the WeatherTech front and rear mats last year.. and they're awesome. The raised edges seem to catch about 99% of the dirt. Kinda pricey for floor mats, but I'm glad I got them instead of the OEM all-weather mats.

I'll second the comment about WeatherTech mats, they're great. Catches all debris and all you do is pull out and dump the mat and hose if necessary.

I also got full Ventureshield and havent regretted dropping the coin at all. total protection from rock chips and if you keep it wax/sealed like clear coat bugs and dirt wash off with ease.

I asked my dealer about remote start.. best I can gather that it's misleading. because my GSR has it. and it's just the FAST key that doesn't have to come out of my pocket. this sees absurd but it lines up with my papers and what the dealer is telling me.

Ha landis, You might want to go to the www.matdepot.com . To get a custom cut rubbertite mat tm. for your trunk. When you get to www.matdepot.com and then click on rubbertite. Go to the bottom and choose the year, car, model, with sub or without sub. $75.00 fits perfect !!
